Why Wing Chun? Wing Chun is a traditional Chinese fighting art. It is direct, uses economy of movement, and is very comprehensive. We feel the laws of physics determine the best ways to move and defend one�s self. These concepts and principles govern how we move, fight and train. Most other schools rely on muscular strength, speed, and purely physical technique. Instead, the concepts we use involve position, sensitivity, structure, footwork, and technique to deal with aggressors.
The art is highly efficient and aggressive, yet we train to acquire effortless combat skills. The human�s most basic and natural instinct is self-preservation. When we are children in the developmental stages, these basic instincts come more naturally to us, however over time we become civilized and need to, as adults, be trained to use our once natural instinct of self-preservation. At Atlantic Warriors our mission is to train in the science of self-preservation.
The students of Atlantic Warriors seek to continually develop and evolve their understanding of Wing Chun principles and concepts, and don�t settle for simply carrying on the art in a sacred, or dead tradition. This thinking person�s approach to martial study trains self-preservation skills, not skills for tournaments, competition, or egotistical brawls. Intelligence, awareness, and hard work are essential aspects of Wing Chun training.

Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun Gung Fu was founded in 2002.
What is your primary product or service?
We specialize in the training of authentic Wing Chun Gung Fu from the lineage of Ip Man's first, and foremost, Hong Kong student, Leung Sheung. In addition, Atlantic Warriors provides efficient and effective self-defense training exclusively for women. Atlantic Warriors also provides training classes in the Philippino fighting systems of Escrima, and defensive knife tactics.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After taking five other martial arts, I needed a martial art that would actually work against real attacks, not just in tournaments, or inside a dojo.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun Gung Fu is the only full-time Wing Chun training facility in the North Florida region.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are expanded into a new Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida in order to house all of the quality students of Atlantic Warriors. It is located in the shopping center on the corner of Beach Blvd. and Huffman Blvd. It is right beside the Anytime Fitness gym.
